Marbella registers a summer of record numbers [1667]

We start a week that will put an end to the month of August, the most touristic and vacation month par excellence, the one that many sectors expect to increase their turnover and normally, pandemics aside, they succeed. And so it has happened this year.

The month of August of this year has left us with record data that has been noted in employment and in the rest of the economic indicators. The thing now is to check if that good trend that has marked the central months of summer in Marbella is also maintained in September and in the last part of the year.

If it occurs, and it seems that the reservations indicate this, it would mean confirming what the City Council defends: that the city, although not logically with the same numbers as in July or August, maintains a good hotel occupancy outside of the high season, that is to say , would be reaching the long-awaited objective of seasonally adjusting tourism.

According to the latest report from the National Institute of Statistics, Marbella reached more than 354,000 overnight stays in July, which represents an increase compared to the same period of the previous year, when 341,000 were registered. In addition, reflects the report, visitors extended their stay to an average of 4.2 days and left revenue per room of more than 220 euros.
